John Merlino

John Merlino taught visual arts at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood and at the Upper School in Englewood Cliffs for forty-two years. His studio and home have been in Englewood for fifty years. Merlino is a recipient of grants from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. His work has been exhibited in New York galleries and is in private and corporate collections, including those of Pfizer, CBS, and Johnson & Johnson. He believes that the arts are an integral part of Englewood’s history and supports efforts to guide learners of all ages to develop creativity and self-expression.
